MAINSTREAMING YOUTH ACROSS SECTORS

YOUTHPLUS works towards mainstreaming youth across government programming and mechanisms through policy advocacy and engagement led by the youth. We monitor government progress in achieving goals that align to the youth and support identification of solutions and support for youth-led solutions in addressing the challenges. We work with like minded networks and organisations to enhance youth participation mechanisms and youth policy work.

RESULTS -BASED COMMUNICATION TO YOUTH

We do results-based communications and information sharing with youth and other stakeholders on key government, development partners programming, approaches and opportunities for participation and engagement. We also gather feedback from youth on key programmes which we share with government and leaders to support dialogue between the youth and duty bearers.

ADVOCACY

Advocate for bigger and wider meaningful engagement of youth nationally and locally, and call for the application of the principles of meaningful and sustainable youth
participation in governance and development in Uganda.
