In the DEEP-ROOTS model, we collaborate with communities to organize and shift power dynamics. We advocate for increased resources, better policies, and improved programs at local, national, and global levels.

Drawing from our experiences, we help others transition from protective to empowering methods of community support. Through partnerships, learning sessions, and advocacy, we aim to politically empower youth and communities for long-term sustainability. We closely partner with communities, youth and their supporters to challenge those in power.

We stand by communities and youth as they fight against oppressive systems, providing support and space as adult allies. Our advocacy varies depending on the context, such as helping youth lobby for community changes or collaborating with local authorities to create new policies and programs. We also hold governments (local and national) accountable through legal channels.

The DEEPROOTS champions are lifting up voices of the marginalized, shaping decisions, and advocating for policies that prioritize safety and dignity for everyone. They’re driving grassroots campaigns and high-level talks to demand comprehensive access to vital services, and the end of discriminatory laws.
