We are a Knowledge and Action catalyst for youth development in Uganda driven by young people, powered by evidence, and rooted in community action. Our work through DEEPROOTS ensures that communities and young people can access timely iinformation and services wherever they are. At the same time, through Skills & Livelihoods, we are equipping young people with practical pathways to training, dignified work, and entrepreneurship opportunities, proving that youth-led action is both impactful and sustainable.
But we are more than programs—we are a source of knowledge. Through our Research & Evidence, we generate insights from our fieldwork, community organizing and mobilization, and digital platforms, turning real stories into data that policymakers and partners can act on. Our Policy & Advocacy work takes those insights further, ensuring that youth voices influence local councils, national strategies, and regional networks. Whether it’s strengthening health systems or shaping youth employment policies, we are standing at the intersection of evidence and change.
Innovation and communication keeps us alive. With a strong focus on Innovation & Engagement, we are experimenting with tools like helplines, digital platforms, and telehealth to widen youth access to services. And through Communications & Storytelling, we amplify young people’s experiences whether it’s through documentaries, IEC campaigns, or digital media so that their voices shape narratives of resilience and leadership. This balance of knowledge and action is what makes us not just another organization, but a reference point for youth-led solutions in Uganda and beyond.
Our work is guided by the frameworks and conventions of the United Nations including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and as well as the policies and frameworks of Government including the National Development Plans (NDP) and Vision 2040.

We use our DEEPROOTS model to achieve our goals. DEEPROOTS stands for Deepening Engagement, Empowerment, and Participation of Grassroots Communities in Social Transformation.
DEEPROOTS represents the foundation of sustainable change and resilience in communities. Like tree roots firmly grounded, deep-rooted approaches to community transformation address the fundamental issues causing inequality and exclusion.
