Why the kiosks matter

People need accessible, trusted places to ask questions, find reliable information and connect with services. Youthplus established the kiosk model to help close the distance between communities and the support available to them.

From HIV prevention to broader community wellbeing

The model was initially developed to strengthen community-based HIV prevention, including information, referrals and connections to prevention and care services. It continues to provide a foundation for broader community health and wellbeing work.

Community-led delivery

The kiosks work alongside trained Peer Community Advisors and local partners. Together, they support trusted conversations, share information and help people navigate available services.

Building on DEEPROOTS

The first network of 20 kiosks was established with support from ViiV Healthcare Positive Action through the DEEPROOTS initiative. Youthplus is building on this experience and working with partners to strengthen and extend community-based delivery.
