LIFT Education Programme

Learning, Inclusion and Futures Transformation

LIFT is Youthplus’s education programme focused on expanding equitable access to quality learning and creating better futures for children and young people, especially those from low-resourced and underserved communities.

We see education as a right and a foundation for dignity, opportunity and social justice. LIFT responds to barriers that limit participation and learning by promoting inclusive approaches, strengthening learning environments and working with families, educators and communities.

Our Approach

Inclusive access to learning

We work to reduce barriers that prevent children and young people from accessing and participating in meaningful education, with attention to equity, inclusion and the realities of low-resource communities.

Quality and relevant teaching

We promote learner-centred approaches, innovative teaching methods and support for educators to strengthen the quality and relevance of learning experiences.

Technology-enabled learning

We explore the use of appropriate digital tools and learning technologies to widen access, enrich teaching and support new pathways for learning.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

LIFT recognises that education is shaped by families, communities, educators and the wider systems around a learner. We therefore encourage community participation, stronger connections between learning spaces and local needs, and approaches that can respond to different contexts.

Community Micro Campus Vision

As part of its longer-term learning agenda, Youthplus is developing the Community Micro Campus concept as a way of bringing accessible learning opportunities and supportive educational resources closer to communities. This is part of our commitment to exploring practical, locally responsive models that can complement existing education systems.

Working Together for Better Learning

We welcome collaboration with schools, educators, families, local governments, education institutions, civil society organisations and development partners who share our commitment to inclusive and quality education.
